A Grenadier Regiment No. 5 Pickelhaube Helmet Cypher (Pre-1911 Model) Hold Constructed of gilded and silveredA gilded die stamped bronze stylized Prussian eagle clutching an imperial sceptre in one talon and a globus cruciger in the other, centre chest bears the cipher FWR (for Friedrich Wilhelm Rex), inlaid with a ribbon inscribed with MIT GOTT FR KOENIG UND VATER LAND (WITH GOD FOR KING AND FATHERLAND), the reverse bears soldered attachment loops, the right soldering is marked GREN 5, measuring 116. 07 mm (w) x 101. 44 mm (h), very fine.
