The cap band is constructed of black woven strands with an oak leaf pattern running along the entirety of the band. The insignia of the cap consists of a NSKOV (Nationalsozialistische Kriegsopferversorgung National Socialist War Victims Care) eagle, constructed of silvered bronze with black and red paint, and
