This is an excellent all original example of a late war German Model 42 Steel helmet, with a great original Heer Army Tan and Green textured camouflage paint job. This is typical of the later war period, in areas such as Italy with a more brown tan look. This stamped sheet steel construction helmet retains over 85% of its original paint, with some wear and chipping from service. This is a very nice example of the M42
