In silver gilt, a red enamelled cross with central medallion featuring alternating lions and castilles in red in white quadrants with a central blue floral, the reverse medallion with a white enamelled MM (Merito Militare) monogram, surmounting royal crown, measures 34. 5 mm (w) x 47. 8 mm (h), worn on original ribbon with horizontal brooch, discolouration to ribbon, enamels intact, extremely fine.
