This is a gorgeous Pennsylvania militia uniform set for a Corporal, dating to the 1870s & 1880s. This is the first example we have had, and there is very little reference for militia uniforms of this period. The coat has great PA state buttons all backmarked to Scovill Mfg. Co. of Waterbury, Connecticut, besides one which is a replaced federal button. There are also likely some buttons missing. The construction of
