This means, you can open the front side and put something in it. It closes securely. It has a raised scarab and nicely done ornate silver work on both sides. The ring band is decorated aswell with snakes, scarabs and lotus. The inside is marked with the egyptian hallmarks. The ring band can be adjusted (although it needs a bit of muscle work) to a larger or smaller
