This is a great example of a French made overseas cap for a soldier of the U. S. Marine Corps. This example has a leather sweatband and an EGA (Eagle, Globe, Anchor) insignia affixed to the front. The cap measures roughly 7. There is a period correct EGA insignia at the front of the cap, with both latitude and longitude lines on the globe, signifying it as WWI era.
