The German WWII Gasschutzhaube (Gas protection hood) Medical Gas Mask was intended for anyone suffering a head wound, and therefore unable to use their issue gas mask. German medics carried these medical head wound gas masks, and were expected to use the filter from the wounded man's gas mask. They were issued to all branches of the German military during World War Two, although the most common ones encountered today
