This is an exceptional example of a genuine British "Brodie" Mark II steel helmet that is dated 1942 on the shell, and 1943 on the liner. The stamping on the underside of the rim reads: 017 I BMB 1942 B. M. B. stands for Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd., who produced Brodie helmets during the war from 1939 to 1943.
