The lighter coloured one has a hallmarked silver collar and trim at the base while the darker cane has a silver-plated trim

The brass decorative detail at the top is very delicate and should not be moved too much

It is quite rusty and slightly bent on the top but the dials still move very well when a weight is placed on the top (see pic)
