Grouping attributed to Kern Merrill, a sailor who served aboard the U. S. S. Arizona in the mid 1920s. The grouping includes a thirty six pieces of correspondence (thirty five letters and one Western Union Telegram), along with a WWI 1920s era U. S. Navy Issue Sailors Flat Cap with an original U. S. S. ARIZONA tally originally fitted. The correspondence consists mostly of letters penned by Merrill sent to his mother.
