Another very rare item we found at the Show of Shows in Louisville Kentucky is this very early dated Bobby helmet from the Port City of Portsmouth in the south of England. Manufactured like the Army Officer's Helmets of Queen Victoria's England this "black cloth" Helmet has silvered mounts including a ball top similar to Royal Artillery issue. The Helmet Plate shows the King's Crown over a coat of arms of Star with
