The thing that makes this base uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white

Turquoise was inspired by a trip to Santa Fe years ago where I had the opportunity to admire the beautiful silver and turquoise jewelry there

I chose to create a background of black for the dark places in which the phial is eventually used
