Hosta High Tide Caryopteris each highlighted by three twistedI was very impressed with Hosta 'High Tide' when I first saw it in the former Minnesota garden of hosta breeder, Hans Hansen. The thick, dusty blue, heavily textured leaves have a nicely rippled edge. This Hosta longipes v. latifolia x Hosta 'Dorset Blue' hybrid makes a compact 1' tall x 3' wide clump, topped in late summer with 20" tall stalks of medium lavender flowers attractive to hummingbirds.
