Germany, Third Reich. A Rare Air Defence Honour Medal, I Class certificate_of_authenticity 5mm (w) x 25(Luftschutz Ehrenzeichen I. Klasse). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika, set within a circular pebbled ring bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENSTE IM LUFTSCHUTZ (FOR MERIT IN AIR DEFENCE), the reverse three and nine oclock arms bearing a raised date of 1938, unmarked, measuring 39. 60 mm (w) x 43. 16
